Chief Medical Director, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla. Professor and Consultant Physician/Cardiologist. Under his leadership the hospital has expanded specialist services, strengthened postgraduate medical training programmes, and deepened its role as the primary tertiary referral centre for the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

UNTH operates under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in partnership with the University of Nigeria governing board. The hospital management board was established by the Federal Government on 23 July 1976 to give the hospital autonomy in administration and service delivery.

All patient information is treated with complete confidentiality and handled in accordance with MDCN guidelines and applicable Nigerian health laws. Patient data is not disclosed without lawful authority or written consent.

Discharge Policy

Discharge is authorised by the attending consultant physician in consultation with the patient and family. A discharge summary detailing diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up instructions is issued to every patient.

Hours & Holidays

General Outpatient: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4 PM. Emergency, ICU, SCBU, Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Maternity services operate 24 hours, 7 days a week.
